About the event
Come join us for a Barn Hunt Rat Instinct Test and Workshop! This day includes a rat instinct test and practice runs.
Barn Hunt is the canine sport of teaching your dog the art of "ratting" in artificial farm atmospheres set up by our professional trainers. The sport seeks to provide a fun and accessible outlet for canines and their handlers to exercise control around "prey drive" instincts, is recognized by the CKC, and is judged based on speed and accuracy of canines finding the rats! Our rats are kept and cared for as pets, and lead enriching, protected lives.
This class is accessible for young and older participants, both of the canine and human variety!
Please note this is not an offical BHA event and no points or titles will be provided. This is intended for new handlers/ teams wanting practice.
